Can you use chopsticks to knit

Then I had a nother idea! The balsam wood is very soft. I thought I might try to make a crochet hook on one of the knitting needle ends!

I was able to shape the top and under the hook area with the sanding block and my nail file. It came out better than I thought! Look what I made! Actually the hook was easier to use on acrylic than the needle ends and is about as big as a J or K hook.

This might be handy to fix the dropped stitches. I get how to keep looping the dropped stitch up to the knitting needle. I guess if you start off as a crocheter, some things click easier like that.
