She loved it. We waited 30 min to be seated, while we had a reservation and showed up right on time. We then waited another 30 min to have our afternoon tea served The slot was only for 1. Splendid afternoon tea which I would highly recommend. We were attended by Jose who really looked after us well and made my Mother's birthday treat with her grandchildren extra special. Excellent in every way This was a treat for a hard working daughter and hit the spot perfectly.

It might have to become a yearly tradition.. Excellent food , and refills, service and ambience - will deffo be going back! Exceptional service! What more can you ask for?? Best of all there was a slight problem that was picked up and handled brilliantly by the staff. Full marks. Chose high tea savoury dishes good although I had Welsh rarebit and the tomato and shallot looked like they'd been thrown on the top.

The cakes were so disappointing. The small options bland, the scones bit dry and the trolley cakes were dense not sure Victoria sponge cake should taste like lemon as well.

Tea arrived at beginning without being asked and pretty bland. Had to ask twice for milk. No knives for scones and cakes not explained. May have been as we booked 6pm but we expected much better. We had a deal but no excuse and certainly not worth the money. Fabulous afternoon. Lots of lovey savourIes cake and of course great champagne Highly recommend.

Was here for my friends birthday We spent over 90 minutes shopping before heading up for our afternoon tea Will be returning very soon! My wife and I have been trying to get a booking for years and to finally get one on a Saturday afternoon was a dream come true. We were greeted by staff as we arrived at reception we a smile and was handed over to the member of staff who promptly showed us to our table.

The waiter came to our table left us time to look at menu then a wonderful glass of champagne arrived setting our experience off. The afternoon tea was amazing and service to a standard you would expect. The staff were amazing and so friendly would recommend anyone to go along and would not be disappointed.

This was a wonderful experience from booking to attending the St james site. Very luxurious and beautiful surroundings. Our female tea concierge was so polite and helpful with our choice of tea and glasses of champagne.

The finger sandwiches was delicious and the cakes were so pretty. We will definitely book again for ourselves. I took my 2 sisters and niece for my sisters 60th birthday, it was everything that I had hoped for. The tea salon is spectacular with a piano in the background and friendly but unobtrusive staff. The afternoon tea was amazing with unlimited refills of sandwiches cakes and tea. It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon.
